Waylon is my favorite! Here's some old country that I remember as a child while riding in the car
We only had one 8 track tape of Waylon & Willie
My Father loved them both..
My wife would not be able to succeed in that.....and probably wouldn't try, she'd be laughing at them as well.Liberal fruitcakes. We did a meet-greet with them at Pine-Knob.[yeah, I'm old] When they entered the meet area, there was incense everywhere and hired-help ringing chimes and gongs to announce their arrival. There was all kinds of weird tokens on the table they sat at. They acted like they were some kinda royalty. LOL. My wife had to keep me in line and not laughing.

Yeah, when I think of metal, that's the stuff I'm referring to. I'm not much on blues unless it rocks, and I think no sane person would say she doesn't.There's been very little "metal" posted on here. Good blues are cool, but they put me to sleep. I listen to all genres of rock.....except that death-metal/lung-barfing crap.
Check out these siblings 12-21 years-old. Incredible talent and can play anything...their original stuff is very good, too.
Check out the dates of these videos, and do the math on their ages.
Ok.....I love you guys......but you ALL missed the end all be all.I started this morning while I made sausage biscuits & gravy listening to Black Sabbath The Wizard
Thought about starting a thread about it..
Breakfast was better than average BTW
Ok.....I love you guys......but you ALL missed the end all be all.
@ENDER @MMissile @AGG .......just recently, RIP......Eddie Van Halen. He was the SH$T on guitar, and if you ever saw
him live in concert.........well.....let's just say, you'd sh#t yourself.
Aside from him ........Stevie Ray Vaughn. Just awesome!!!!!!!
Lastly.....I can't believe no one mentioned the iconic OZZY!!!! Now granted......if you interviewed him,
you wouldn't be able to understand him......but one of the two very best drum solo's I ever watched live,
was between Ozzy and Van Halen.
I'm sure if you google it or go to youtube, you could probably find the drum solo, where Van Halen's
drummer conducted the solo that started slowly and ended sounding like a freight train........I saw it in Knoxville
and it was AMAIZING........of course that was way back in the 80's <sigh.....so old>
Cheers!!!!!!!!!
PS: I'll look for it and see if I can find a link. Their drummer had AMAZING skills!!!!
Ozzy is pretty easy to understand in person. I've met him 3 times, with 1st being the best.[meet/greets were new and awesome..not so commercial and low-brow]. He's also very shy/withdrawn, till you crack his "shell". I had him laughing like a crazy-man at the 1st meet. [that's a great story] Zakk is a great guy and talented...but his live-solos get old.Ok.....I love you guys......but you ALL missed the end all be all.

@AGG I agree with you 110%. When Roth left.......it went a bit down hill. Don't get me wrong.....they had a couple
of good hits, but nothing like the "pre-Hagar" days.
@MMissile ........OK, I'm now a HUGE FAN of you!!!!!! I would have LOVED to have met Ozzy in a meet and greet!!!!
Sadly enough......I was only able to be in the mosh pit, pushed up against the fence during the concert <sigh>![]()

SO COOL!!! Ozzy is up for anything. It's sad to see him aging. Just means we all are.

He handed his head-band to my wife during the show[front-row in front of Zakk]. I had to rock a couple rude idiots, but he gave it to her. It was sweaty as hell.....but we have OZZY DNA. LOL!! We talked about Christmas, and my wife had OZZY greeting cards from Hallmark[famous people quotes].She had him sign some stuff while we talked. He didn't know they were OZZY cards, so she showed him. He laughed, and signed a few. #%@&-you....OZZY. He was very quiet with everybody, so we intentionally went last to spend more time talking. He opened right up, when I said "Hey OZZY, Merry #%^&ing Christmas!" He got a big grin, returned the greeting, and the dam burst open. Animated OZZY.View attachment 1242View attachment 1243View attachment 1244
When we saw Sabbath at Pine-Knob, We talked to OZZY a couple minutes, then asked him if we were gonna meet anybody else? "you want to talk to Tony? Geezer? My wife says "no, is Sharon here? Ozzy went and got her. The security was trying push us out, and I held our ground. We told them "Sharon is coming out". They laughed and said "Yeah...sure. Now go!!" I argued some more, and about 30 seconds later, they all scattered like roaches. They were scared to death of this little woman. LOL!!! She was as nice as could be to us, but I'm sure she's a bitch to everybody in the business. Without her, there'd never have been a solo OZZY. Another special individual moment.
