FOOD What's For Dinner

Thank you.
"I" like my nachos. So does Rhonda, and she dislikes spicy food. It's got a lot more bang, than she thinks. Now, I gotta get her to eat some spicier Chinese food. She has pretty basic tastes in food. My family cooked a bunch...hers, not so much.

Not dinner, but Kroger had 'Me and My' RC on sale. The perfect blend of Coke and Pepsi in my opinion. No, didn't have any Moon Pies - but wouldn't have minded either.

Goes great with left over Alibi pizza. Yum

You put peanuts in your RC?? My old redneck boss did....all the time.

Got my nacho ready for the oven, for when Rhonda gets home from work....

Salt-free tortilla chips
Pepper-jack slices
Mozzarella shredded
Refried beans
Seasoned ground beef
Mexican 4-cheese shredded
Crushed tortillas
Salsa

I'll add some jalapeno peppers to mine, after cooking. She used to hate spicy food, but I've warmed her up a bit....so to say.View attachment 1983

This thing is heavy. Minus the glass dish, I'll bet there's 4-5 lbs of ingredients.

Be over shortly. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
Man that looks good. ;)

Anyone have a Blackstone griddle? Just picked up a 28” Pro Series today on an impulse buy...looking for tips/tricks. Never used one before. Did the first seasoning after assembly, looking forward to the first cook.

@HK12Step Almost pulled the trigger several times. Especially after watching Youtube videos of all it can do. Steaks, fried rice, veggies, breakfast. In the end I just rebuilt the 15 year old Weber gas grill.

So I will live vicariously through you for the moment. Look forward to your journey with pics and virtual smells ;)

Interesting--- let us know how it works. ;)
Is the griddle easily removed for cleaning?

Well, 1st attempt....it is fun to use but there will be a bit of learning curve for me, got a little stickage. Decided on Chicken Cheesesteaks for me and the Mrs. and did a Chicken Bacon Ranch for the kid.

No removal necessary. You clean her as she sits. Pretty straightforward and simple, I like it.

Looks great--- did you put oil on the griddle before cooking?

Yup, oiled away. I’m certain it was a me issue and probably silly to use a lean protein on the first cook, the peppers and onions had no issues and everything did end up coming up out well. I just threw 1.5lbs of bacon on there to help with seasoning the griddle; it was perfection and took no time at all to cook up....that grease made it like a slippery slide for those little pig strips so we are getting there. Cleanup was a breeze, just push the grease out the back opening into the removable grease trap. So easy. After only 2 1/2 days I can tell this is already a growing obsession. If anyone is contemplating, I say jump in with both feet. The possibilities appear endless and it is a ton o’ fun if you like to cook/grill or for me, now GRIDDLE!!!
